Our Psychologist - Tonise Florexil, Psy.D
Doctor Florexil is a native Floridian from West Palm Beach, Florida. Dr. Florexil earned her undergraduate degree from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida and her first Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida. Upon completion of her Master’s degree, Doctor Florexil enrolled at the Florida School of Professional Psychology in Tampa, Florida. She earned a second Master’s degree and her Doctorate (Psy.D) in clinical psychology. Doctor Florexil traveled to the Midwest and completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited pre-doctoral internship at the National Psychology Training Consortium-Great Lakes Region in Logansport, Indiana. After extensive training in Indiana, Dr. Florexil returned to Florida in order to complete her postdoctoral fellowship at the Palm Beach County Youth Services Department’s Education and Training Center in West Palm Beach.

Within this framework, we employ evidence-based techniques that include, but are not limited to, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy as well as interpersonal therapy.
